Can i take it?

can i take metamucil while pregnant..i think iam badly constipated sorry tmi...i have stomach cramps like i need to go an when i get there i cant or if i do its tiny...i have never been constipated before so dont know what to expect..is the cramping normal?..? my baby is still movin round heaps...so i know she is ok...
