Why can't i see an intuitive formula in a physics problem, does anyone have this problem?

whenever i see a physics prob different from what i am used to i take like almost 30 minutes thinking about and then get frustrated. does anyone have this prob? i understand the concepts and all but the problems seem to be asking something that isnt very obvious. the questions from this physics section are challengning but does that mean that to answer them you have to have 3-5 years of physics under your belt
