How do I go about telling my dad I am having ?

I am a 16 year old girl and I have been dating my boyfriend for over a year and 5 months. I don't have a mother and I live with my dad. My father and I usually tell each other everything but I get a little nervous with this subject. One time he freaked out over a hickey on my neck so no I am scared that if I tell him about my boyfriend and I are having , that he will refuse to let me see him. I love my boyfriend very much and I just couldn't handle not being able to see my boyfriend. Some one please give me advice, I really need some help.
